Environmentally friendly air-powered vehicle – the Zephyr project

Students from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków have created the Zephyr AGH project, an environmentally friendly and low-emission compressed air vehicle. It is an alternative means of transportation that has advantages over traditional internal combustion cars alone, with the only drawback being that it is not available for sale yet.

Introduction

Members of two scientific circles from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków are implementing the Zephyr AGH project. Nova Energia and Ignis Nova Energia scientific circles, are engaged in alternative energy solutions. They combined their passion for constructing innovative devices and created a compressed air vehicle. It is powered by an air motor. Compressed air is used to move the vehicle. The developed technology is environmentally neutral, emission-free and green.

The Zephyr AGH project has been named a Strategic Project for 2021, and our company, which manufactures and distributes pneumatic equipment, is co-financing this forward-looking project. The construction team wants to make a prototype that meets the standards and requirements of the International AVENTICS Pneumobile Competition. It is being organized by Aventics Hungary Kft. Advantages of pneumatic vehicles

Safety is another aspect. In the event of an electric car fire, it can be difficult to extinguish the flames. Burning batteries, produce large amounts of oxygen. Therefore, pneumatic drives are often used in explosive or fire-prone areas. They have no sparks or potentially ignition-generating components.
